Mentor Games - Life Masters Helping Newer Players

Purpose

Mentor games introduce newer players to higher level competitors without the pressure and stress of open competition.

The newer players are paired with significantly higher ranking Mentors who volunteer their time and share their experience.

We are grateful for our LM's who participate in these games and thank them for their unselfish contribution.

I had a Mentor teach me how to do a simple squeeze. I studied it for hours and during the next game, I did it. I managed to squeeze two good tricks from my own hand.

Games

Stratified Pairs - 2nd Thurs. of every Month - Game 1:00pm

  • Mentors Free - Partners $5.00/Game. Individual sign up
  • Pairing just before game time - call ahead or early sign up is appreciated.
  • Goal - Partner plays with Mentor having about 10 times higher MP's.
  • Mistakes Allowed and Accepted - by All !!!

Swiss Teams - 4th Thurs. of every Month - Game 1:00pm

  • Mentors Free - Partners $5.00 Total $10/team.
  • Each team has captain who recruits players from a pool.
    Anybody that wants to play can join the pool.
  • A Team consists of 1A or lower, 1B or lower, and at least 2 C's.
  • A >1500mp's, B is LM or 500-1500 mp's, C's are Non-LM < 500 mp's
  • A and B team members play with C players
