Unit 201 -
GOLD Life Master Party for Marian Jones
February 15, 2020

Honoree Marian Jones and Husband, Allan

Marian Jones became a GOLD Life Master in the fall of 2019 soon after moving to Round Rock.  This accomplishment requires 2,500 ACBL masterpoints and must meet the black, silver, red, and gold requirements.

Nancy Smalley shared that she started playing with Marian at the Beaumont Bridge Studio some 25-30 years ago when they were about the youngest players around.  Over the years, they played many games together.

Congratulations, Marian!  U201 is proud of your accomplishment.

Marian was joined by ?, her youngest son; Allan, her husband; ?, her oldest son; ?, her daughter-in-law; and ?, her granddaughter.

Hostesses (and host) included June Eddingston, Liz MacKenzie, Sylvia Street, Betty Poindexter, Martha Sigler, Arline Meyers, Jim Landrum, Pat Bell, Cynthia Stueber, Nancy Smalley, Kay Hooper, Edwina Landrum, and Joan Hataway (Not pictured:  Loretta Gary and Mary Johnson)
Program
Joan Hataway emceed the program which included a fashion show featuring items Marian had either owned or made; some advice on how to grow old gracefully, and a skit by Jobie Irvine and Carol Seabrooke that portrayed humorously how The Golden Years can be.
Edwina and Jim Landrum stole the fashion show.  Jim was finely attired in a sleeveless blouse, pleated skirt and lots of jewelry.  Marian took the floor and introduced her family.
