Unit 201 -
DIAMOND Life Master Party for Martha Sigler
January 26, 2019

Thanks to Linda Briggs for most of the photos!

Honoree Martha Sigler

Martha joined ACBL in 1985.  She became a Life Master in 1992, a Bronze Life Master in 1994, a Silver Life Master in 1997, a Gold Life Master in 2006, and a Diamond Life Master in 2018.

Martha strikes fear in her opponents.  It is as though her steely blue eyes can see through the cards!  As a result, she was presented a pair of special glasses by Carolyn Worsham to wear while playing (as a gag gift).

Nixie Hanson presented a Diamond Life Master charm to Martha in a cleverly constructed box that denoted the years of her ascension up the ranks.

Flo Gillispie, her regular partner for almost 50 years, and Tipton Golias and Dr. Bharathi, long-time friends, lauded Martha for her skill at the bridge table.  All thanked her for being their friend.

Only 1.05% of ACBL players hold the rank of DIAMOND Life Master

 Congratulations, Martha!
