Going-Away Party Honoring Beverly Leger

Honoree

Beverly Leger has lived in the Beaumont area for more than 40 years - longer than she has lived anywhere. She learned to play bridge at the Beaumont Bridge Studio when it was "in the old building," the masterpoint awards were generally less than .05, and the games were not stratified. She doesn't remember that as the "good ole days!" Beverly took an active role in club administration, writing the newsletter for many years. Outside of the bridge world, she was active in tennis and golf leagues and played golf all over the world. This last year was a tough one for Beverly. In August of 2017, her home was flooded by Harvey and she lost ALL of her possessions. In March of 2018, her husband Rusty died. Through it all, Beverly kept a smile on her face and participated in bridge games whenever possible. We all wish her well as she begins a new chapter in Cypress-Fairbanks.
